WebAccording to Dewey teaching and learning, education and discipline are closely connected to community – the social life. Education is a lifelong process on which our democracy is built. As he put it: “ Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”. According to Dewey, democracy and education are two sides of the same coin. WebDewey says, “Every experience is a moving force.” (Dewey, 1938, p. 38) this is the statement that requires my constant attention to ensure the progression of the material without losing focus. I see a more important value in using experience as it relates to time, space and person to develop and present the subject matter.
