Like others of its day, abusing the valves' rating was common and expected. ST35s run at 350 - 400 VDC B+ which is way over best practice of maybe 300 VDC tops. WebSep 6, 2024 · The dynakitparts.com design uses four pots, hence I wrote "four bias adjustment pots" because all four - two original plus two new - adjust the bias as a system. Per channel, one bias pot sets the bias current for the pair while the newly added pot balances the bias current between the two power tubes. Rinse, repeat for the other channel. It's a little more money ($625) than the ST-35 kit from either Dynakitparts or Triode but has double the power (35 WPC vs 17.5 WPC) of the ST-35.
