If it doesn't work using the existing cable, cut one end off of a new cable and pull it through without the connector, then splice it together. I taped together a 40' Monoprice Redmere HDMI cable and a 50' Cat 6 cable. I have been unable to fish the wires through. They only went like 6 inches before they got stuck. WebIf you don't have a fish tape, you could always resort to the old coat hanger technique. Start on the side you want to end on (Sounds like an area below.) and push the empty hanger end through. Use duct tape to attach the cable to the hanger end. Pull the hanger and cable back down through the ceiling/floor and detach.
